PM Showcases Thai Heritage at Nakhon Phanom Illuminated Boat Carnival 2025

Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul inaugurated the Nakhon Phanom Illuminated Boat Carnival 2025 on October 7, reaffirming the government’s mission to elevate Thailand’s iconic festival to an international platform.

Anutin expressed his honor in attending the event once again, describing the illuminated boat procession as a proud symbol of Thai faith, unity, and artistic creativity. He commended the local authorities, community members, and organizers for preserving this valuable cultural tradition and passing it on to younger generations.

Highlighting the festival’s importance, Anutin said it reflects how Thai culture can be a powerful catalyst for economic growth, boosting tourism while strengthening happiness and solidarity within communities. He conveyed warm wishes of peace and unity to all Thais.

Following the ceremony, the Prime Minister enjoyed a drone light show that illuminated the night sky with stunning formations, including portraits of Their Majesties the King and Queen. He paid homage with respect and took time to greet and take photos with the gathered crowd.

Anutin emphasized that the festival serves as a cultural emblem of Nakhon Phanom and the Northeastern region, marking the start of Thailand’s year-end festive season and invigorating the local economy. He invited people across the country to visit Nakhon Phanom and experience its vibrant celebrations and warm community spirit.
