UK Hits 38.1°C as Greece Battles Wildfires and Evacuates Tourists

The UK recorded its hottest day of 2026 at 38.1°C as extreme heat gripped parts of Europe. In Greece, wildfires intensified under gale-force winds, forcing more than 250 tourists to evacuate by boat from Siviri. Forty forest fires were reported nationwide within 24 hours.
