Thailand–India Push Data Centre Investment, UPI–PromptPay Link Under 45-Day Roadmap

Thailand and India are accelerating economic cooperation under a new “Co-Creation and Co-Investment” framework, with initial pilot projects targeted within 45 days. The initiative could deepen Thailand–India economic integration beyond conventional trade, particularly in technology, digital infrastructure and financial connectivity. Bilateral trade reached $13.97 billion during January–July 2026, up 8.07% year-on-year, according to The Nation.
The Thailand–India Joint Trade Committee is expected to develop a broader action plan and oversee implementation. Technical teams are working on UPI–PromptPay connectivity, while both sides are exploring local-currency settlement and initial joint-investment projects.
