Thailand Pass System is a web-based registration scheme that is being implemented to replace the Certificate of Entry (COE) application process for hassle-free entry to Thailand effective 01 November 2021.
Thailand Pass has been designed to make the documentation process for travelers entering Thailand more efficient than the COE application collecting both health information and travel also facilitating the filing of TM6 and T8 forms.

Here is the important information on how to register for Thailand Pass and the process of getting Thailand Pass approval for traveling to Thailand. As per the Thailand Pass Registration system you can download the Thailand Pass QR code to show to airline and screening officers once you have received approval. You will also require showing Covid-19 test results from no later than 72 hours prior to you travel to Thailand.

Step 1: Choose Thai Nationals or Non-Thai Nationals from the options available
To start initiate the registration process, you need select an option from “Thai Nationals” or “Non-Thai Nationals” to proceed to the next page. The documents required are bit different for Thai citizen or a foreign citizen.
Step 2: Select Thailand Entry Schemes
The next step in Thailand Pass Registration process is to select your travel scheme from the 3 different options available for international tourists entering Thailand.
Test & Go (Quarantine Free) – only for vaccinated travelers from eligible countries
Living in The Blue Zone Sandbox – only for vaccinated travelers from other countries
Happy Quarantine – only for unvaccinated travelers
✍️Required documents for Thailand Pass registration
Document requirements vary depending on the scheme which you select from the available options for entering Thailand. Details are as follows:
👍Test & Go scheme (Exemption from Quarantine)
- A valid Passport
- Thai Visa ( if required )
- Vaccination Certificate
- Insurance coverage of 50,000 USD (which explicitly covers COVID-19 treatment and medical expenses. The insurance must be valid and cover the total duration of stay in Thailand.
- ❗️ Expats who are legally authorized to work in Thailand with a valid visa or residential permit are required to provide proof of insurance coverage in Thailand or certifying letter from their employer or a valid social security card.
- ❗️ Thai nationals, covered under government health scheme are not required to obtain an insurance policy ·
- AQ Hotel or SHA Plus Hotel Reservation confirmation for at least 1 night after arriving in Thailand with a COVID-19 RT-PCR test fee included
👍 Living in The Blue Zone Sandbox scheme
- A valid Passport
- Thai Visa (If required)
- Vaccination Certificate
- Insurance coverage of 50,000 USD which explicitly covers COVID-19 treatment and medical expenses. The insurance must be valid and cover the total duration of stay in Thailand.

- Reservation confirmation in SHA Plus Hotel for 7 days with a COVID-19 RT-PCR test and Antigen Self-test Kit fee is also included

- Reservation confirmation in AQ Hotel for 10 days with a COVID-19 RT-PCR test fee included.
Step 3: Fill Purpose of Arrival Page
The next step in the Thailand Pass registration process is to fill Purpose of Arrival page and press “register”. An information page will be visible once you click on register. Information needed to be filled in this page is as follows:

Step 4: Register on Thailand Pass website
4.1 Fill the Personal Information Page
Personal Information to be provided
- Name
- Nationality
- Date of birth
- Occupation
- Passport details
In case if you are a guardian, you can register on behalf of your dependent person. Information of dependent children including name, nationality, date of birth, and passport details need to be filled.
4.2 Vaccination Page
If you want to travel to Thailand under Test & Go or Blue Zone Sandbox schemes you must be vaccinated with the vaccines approved by Thailand or by the WHO (World Health Organization) or other vaccines as allowed by the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand, within 14 days prior to your travel.
You require to upload the certificate of both your 1st and 2nd dose of vaccination. The certificate of vaccination should include your personal information for identification such as your full name, nationality, passport number, date of birth and vaccination details.

4.4 Insurance Page

You need to review the personal information before clicking on submit. If you find any information is inaccurate, then click Back to the previous page to make edits before moving forward.
Once you feel the information provided is fine, then just click on the button “Submit”.
How long will it take to get the Thailand Pass approved?
After successfully filling in your details and uploading the required documents you need to wait for the pre-approval of your Vaccination certificate. Usually, it takes 1-3 days for the Department of Disease Control (DDC) will check the information. Once approved, you will get the Thailand Pass QR Code to your mobile and email. You will need to show the QR Code to airport officials at the check-in counter and to immigration officers for entering Thailand.
Things to Remember when Entering Thailand
In addition to holding a Thailand Pass QR Code, you still need to get a negative RT-PCR test result within 72 hours before departure from your country. You need to give a PCR test again after arrival at the first airport in Thailand.
Body temperature screening will be done at the Airport.

Once you complete the above screening process, you can proceed through immigration screening, baggage claims and customs clearance then go to the meeting point and take transportation to your hotel.
