PM Announces an Emergency Decree to be Enforced on Mar. 26

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Tuesday (March 24) declared a state of emergency to contain the escalating Covid-19 pandemic.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has declared an emergency decree in order to contain the contagion of coronavirus in Thailand.
The decree will be effective from March 26, 2020 onwards.
The emergency decree will allow the Prime Minister to enforce a curfew, limiting access to certain areas, etc. However, PM Prayut did not mention of a curfew in the announcement but said that the enforcement would increase its limitation and intensity depending on the situation of the coronavirus outbreak.
