India extends $50 million emergency financial support to Maldives

India extended emergency financial support to Maldives through rollover of $50 million Treasury Bill, the High Commission of India in Maldives said. “It’s done under a unique Government-to-Government arrangement,” it added. “I express my sincere gratitude to EAM S Jaishankar and Indian government for extending crucial financial support,” Maldives’ Foreign Affairs Minister Abdulla Khaleel said.
