Magnitude 7.4 Earthquake Strikes Colombia, Causing Injuries and Damage

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck Colombia on Monday, causing injuries and significant building damage in Chocó and Risaralda provinces. The quake, centered near San José del Palmar at a depth of 96 km, was felt in Bogotá and parts of Venezuela. Authorities said there was no tsunami warning.
