Empowering Young Minds: Cross-Border Learning at Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand

Another engaging workshop unfolded at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), this time welcoming 42 students from the Roorkee Institute of Technology (RIT), India — a region celebrated as a hub of engineering excellence and innovation. This collaboration stands as a fine example of how education transcends borders, connecting young minds through shared goals of learning, innovation, and growth.

I ensured that this workshop was highly interactive and pragmatic, designed not only to prepare students for the corporate world but also to help them navigate contemporary challenges with clarity and confidence. Such experiential learning opportunities nurture practical thinking, teamwork, and adaptability — essential traits for future professionals.

For me, as an educator, the experience was equally enriching. Interacting with young, inquisitive minds expands my own perspective, reaffirming that teaching and learning are truly reciprocal journeys.

It is deeply inspiring to witness how quality education in India has spread beyond metropolitan centers, reaching towns and smaller cities that are now producing globally aware and competent graduates. These students bring with them fresh ideas, diverse perspectives, and an eagerness to contribute to the world stage.

A special mention must be made of Dr. Nitin Tripathi, whose vision continues to impactful knowledge exchanges between AIT and Indian institutions. Equally commendable is Dr. Rishi Jain, the newly appointed Program Director — among the youngest to earn a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from IIT Roorkee and AIT, Thailand and his energy and insight make these programs both meaningful and joyous.

Indeed, India’s true strength lies in her vibrant youth, and education continues to light the path that leads them forward.
