Yala province is now inviting the general public to participate in events celebrating the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s birthday on 28 July 2020.
Yala City Municipality has decorated the streets, from the City Pillar Shrine to the Clock Tower Circle, with marigolds to celebrate His Majesty the King’s birthday on 28 July 2020, expressing loyalty to the monarchy by the people of Yala.
Yala Governor Chaisit Phanichphong will be leading a ceremony celebrating His Majesty the King’s birthday on 28 July 2020, in which government officials and the general public are encouraged to participate.
The ceremony will begin at 6 a.m with an alms giving ceremony to buddhist monks at Yala Rajabhat University, the well-wishing message signing ceremony and an oath taking ceremony at Yala Rajabhat University at 8:30 a.m., a Buddhist prayer service and worship ceremony of Buddhist relics at Wat Nirot Sangkharam at 10:15 a.m., followed by offering of items of worship and a candle lighting ceremony at Yala Rajabhat University at 5:30 p.m.
Those who wish to participate in these events should wear modest clothing in yellow and wear a face mask throughout the activities.
