BANGKOK—On the special occasion of Songkran, Western Union, a global leader in cross-border, cross-currency money movement and payments, offers first-time users of its digital services a chance to win a THB 300 e-voucher by Central Group until April 30, 2021.
To qualify for the promotion, first-time users of the Western Union mobile app or WU.com must send a minimum amount of THB 10,000 to their families and loved ones abroad. Digital consumers have the choice to send money 24/7 to Western Union’s global financial network of billions of bank accounts in more than 120 countries, to millions of mobile wallets, or more than half a million Agent locations in more than 200 countries and territories.
Upon completing the money transfer via Western Union’s digital channels, the first 2000 consumers will be automatically eligible to receive a THB 300 e-voucher by Central Group, valid for purchases at participating stores and restaurants in Central Group[i].

CONSUMER GUIDANCE
In line with the local regulations, before the first use of the online service and the app, consumers must register on WU.com. Once the registration is complete, consumers can verify their identity with a valid government-issued ID at one of the Central Department Store locations. Once the profile is verified, Western Union consumers can conveniently send money anytime, with a few clicks from their mobile phones. The Songkran promotion is available until April 30, 2021, and is subject to the following:

  • Eligible Participants may only enter the promotion once, with only the first qualifying money transfer being automatically qualified for the promotion.
  • Consumers need to send a minimum amount of THB 10,000 (principal amount, excluding transfer fees) abroad.
  • The offer is valid only until April 30, 2021, and while stocks last. 2,000 e-vouchers will be on offer.
