TAT Expands Global Airline Partnerships to Strengthen Thailand’s Inbound Tourism
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is intensifying its strategic collaborations with international airlines to support its goal of attracting 35 million international tourists by the end of 2025. These efforts align with the Thai government’s broader vision to transform Thailand into a high-value and sustainable tourism hub.
TAT Governor Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool emphasized the importance of accessible air travel in boosting inbound tourism. By strengthening ties with both full-service and low-cost carriers across various continents, TAT aims to increase seat capacity and offer more convenient travel options for global tourists planning visits to Thailand.
Recent partnerships include prominent names like Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, IndiGo, AirAsia, and VietJet. The focus is on co-developing marketing campaigns, launching promotional travel deals, and participating in roadshows and trade events together. These partnerships are expected to drive travel demand, especially from long-haul markets such as Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
As part of its strategy, TAT also supports charter flights and encourages new route development to connect Thailand with emerging source markets. The emphasis is not only on high arrival numbers but also on attracting quality tourists who contribute to local economies and stay longer.
In addition to airline collaborations, TAT continues to invest in digital marketing, data-driven strategies, and sustainable tourism initiatives to ensure that Thailand remains competitive and appealing in the global travel market.
By reinforcing airline alliances, TAT is setting the foundation for a resilient and thriving tourism future, anchored in accessibility, quality, and innovation.
