On June 18, 2023, the Embassy of India in Bangkok organized an incredible gathering to commemorate the 9th International Day of Yoga (#IDY2023) at the grounds of Chulalongkorn University. Over 5000 yoga enthusiasts, ranging from ambassadors and diplomats to students and members of the Indian diaspora, attended the event. The atmosphere was filled with positive energy and a sense of unity that yoga promotes. The celebration showcased that yoga is not only a form of exercise, but also a way of life that fosters overall well-being and inner peace.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. Parichart Sthapitanonda, Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, who spoke about the significance of yoga in promoting health, well-being, cultural exchange, and mutual understanding. The main yoga protocol was conducted by renowned yoga instructor, Mr. Sanjeev Chaturvedi, and followed by Mr. Rahul Autade. The session concluded with a few minutes of meditation, leaving everyone feeling refreshed.
