Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati yesterday at Samyan Mitrtown in Pathumwan district of Bangkok presided over the opening ceremony of the BBG PRINCESS CUP 2020 table tennis competition held by BBG Sport Club and various agencies from January 31 to February 6.
The competition is meant to encourage children and youths to display their potential and collect sports experience as well as to promote the development of table tennis skills. The event also promotes cooperation and unity among all sectors which provide support for the self-development of children and youths.
Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati viewed an exhibition of BBG Sport Club which was set up under the royally initiated Bounce Be Good project with a focus on the development of underprivileged children and development of their sporting skills and quality of life to the extent that they may become professional athletes or earn incomes from sport-related occupations later in life. BBG Sport Club currently holds training courses in three kinds of sport: table tennis, badminton and soccer for 474 children and youths.
