Six Pattaya Officials Suspended Over Alleged Unofficial Fines From Foreign Tourists

Pattaya City suspended six officials after allegations they collected cash fines from foreign tourists near Bali Hai Pier without issuing official documents. Witnesses said foreign motorcycle riders were asked to pay 2,000–3,000 baht for alleged violations, including loud exhausts and smoking. Authorities have launched an investigation.
