India Retires MiG-21 After Six Decades of Service

India has retired its last MiG-21 fighter squadrons after over 60 years of use. The Soviet-designed jet served in every conflict since 1965 but became notorious for accidents in recent decades. The Indian Air Force now has 29 fighter units, short of its sanctioned strength.
