Bangkok, Thailand – This past weekend, the India-Thai Chamber of Commerce Hall and the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, under the auspices of the Embassy of India in Bangkok, hosted a remarkable series of yoga sessions led by Swami Ratnashakti Saraswati from the Bihar School of Yoga. These events, held on January 17th, 18th, and 19th, drew enthusiastic crowds, with approximately 150 participants at the ITCC and nearly 60 participants each day at other locations, delving deep into the practice of yoga for mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
The weekend kicked off at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre on January 17th with a special session focused on ‘Health, Happiness & Harmony.’ Swami Ratnashakti Saraswati taught simple and effective asanas and pranayama techniques, emphasizing the traditional system of yoga. Her teachings are part of what she calls ‘Yoga Capsules,’ designed to provide quick and profound benefits similar to vitamin capsules, drawn from the practices of the renowned Bihar School of Yoga.
On January 18th, an evening session at the India-Thai Chamber of Commerce Hall allowed attendees to experience the essence of yoga, further enhancing their understanding of its benefits for mental and emotional balance. The session was highly appreciated, prompting requests for more events of this kind.
Additionally, on January 18th and 19th, Swami Ratnashakti conducted morning sessions of Hatha Yoga and Yoga Nidra Dhyana at the Amsel Biohealth Center, and on the afternoon of January 19th, she led a session of Satyananda Yoga followed by Yoga Nidra Dhyana. These sessions offered a comprehensive insight into different styles of yoga, showcasing the versatility and depth of yoga as taught by Swami Ratnashakti Saraswati.
