In the most recent rankings based on Airbnb platform data, Thailand has emerged as the premier winter destination for Chinese tourists from December 2023 to February 2024. This accolade is supported by search activities on the Airbnb platform, where Thailand has not only secured its place among the top 20 most sought-after destinations but has also become the leading choice for Chinese travelers during the winter season. Additionally, The Telegraph, a prominent UK media outlet, has placed Thailand at the 6th position in its list of “The 20 places you must visit in 2024,” marking it as the sole Asian country within the top 10.
According to Airbnb platform data, Thailand has warmly welcomed over 3.5 million Chinese tourists in 2024, solidifying its status as the most searched-for international destination by Chinese travelers during the winter. Notably, five Thai cities have been recognized among the top 20 most-searched destinations by Chinese guests on the Airbnb platform for the winter season.
