PM joins Father’s Day ceremonies

The Prime Minister today joined ceremonies celebrating the birthday of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the National Day, and the Father’s Day 5th December, starting with an alms giving ceremony this morning.
The Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha led government officials and the public in an alms giving ceremony for 189 Buddhist monks at Sanam Luang in Bangkok.
Items delivered by the general public on this occasion will be given to shelters for persons in need, run by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and temples in need.
Following the alms giving ceremony, the Prime Minister presided over a homage paying ceremony before a statue of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, showing loyalty to the late monarch.
On this important day, the Thai Red Cross Society’s National Blood Center is inviting fathers and their children to donate blood together at the National Blood Center in Bangkok or at any of the 12 Thai Red Cross Society’s Blood Banks across the country, along with the donor registrations for stem cells, eyes, and organs. This activity today at the National Blood Center continues until 4 p.m.
