New ‘Dragon-Like’ Species Found in Thailand
Scientists have discovered Desmoxytes chaofa, a new spiny millipede species in Pha Daeng Cave, Mae Hong Son. Nicknamed “Chaofa” in tribute to Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, this dragon-like arthropod is endemic to Thailand, highlighting the nation’s rich biodiversity and the need to protect its fragile cave habitats.
