Indian Embassy participates in “Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival 2025
The Indian Embassy participated in the opening ceremony of the Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival 2025, held at Phahurat (Little India) on 19 October 2025. Deputy Chief of Mission Ms. Paulomi Tripathi represented the Embassy at the event, which was presided over by Mr. Attakorn Sirilatthayakorn, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand.
Organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in collaboration with various Thai government and private sector agencies, the festival marks the start of a two-week celebration from 16 to 31 October 2025 at Phahurat and Khlong Ong Ang, highlighting the shared cultural and spiritual connections between India and Thailand.
The opening featured a Ramayana performance, a vibrant procession to seek blessings of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha, and an enchanting music and light show symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness.
The Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival 2025 beautifully reflects the enduring friendship and deep cultural bond between India and Thailand, celebrating the essence of Diwali — peace, prosperity, and harmony.
