Beyond Bangkok, TAT events will be taking place in other tourism cities, such as the Amazing Night Sukhothai Countdown 2020 in Sukhothai province, which will be taking place at Wat Mahathat temple inside Sukhothai Historical Park; the Amazing Thailand Countdown 2020 @ Kalasin event at Rim Kaeng Don Klang Park in Kalasin province; the Amazing Thailand Countdown 2020 @ Lopburi event at Pibulwitthayalai School in Lopburi; the Amazing Thailand Countdown 2020 @ Ratchaburi on 24-31 December at Ratpracha Phattana Dam in Ratchaburi; the Amazing Thailand Countdown 2020 @ Sakaeo event at Indochina shopping mall in Sa Kaeo, and the Amazing Thailand Countdown 2020 @ Patthalung event at the Coliseum mall intersection in Phattalung.
These local events are expected to help boost local tourism, by attracting some 225,000 Thai visitors to the different areas, and generating around 500 million baht in revenue.
Meanwhile, the Royal Thai Army has joined hands with private companies to launch the 10th year of the Million Gifts Million Smiles campaign, inviting the general public to write messages of love and care as New Year gifts for children and youths in three southern border provinces and four districts of Songkhla province.
