TAT Unveils “Molam Festival” Showcasing Isan Music with a Green Twist
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is set to launch the “Molam Festival,” a cultural celebration highlighting Isan’s rich folk music heritage while embracing sustainable event practices. The festival runs in Roi Et (19–21 September at Roi Et Tower) and Udon Thani (26–28 September at Thung Sri Muang) from 17:00 to midnight, with free entry.

Audiences will enjoy performances by leading Molam troupes—Rabiab Watasilp, Prathom Banterngsilp, San Lao Entertainment Arts, and Seng Esan—alongside T-Pop acts such as Bamm, Instinct, Yes’sirdays, Slapkiss, and Kylinz. This fusion bridges Isan’s traditional storytelling with modern sounds, reintroducing Molam to younger generations and global audiences.
Beyond music, the festival offers food stalls, cultural workshops, and creative markets under TAT’s “5 Must-Do Experiences in Thailand” campaign. Visitors can explore sustainable craft demonstrations, natural-dyed fabric activities, and dishes served in biodegradable packaging.
Exclusive prizes worth over 300,000 Baht—including hotel, dining, and tourism vouchers—await lucky attendees. The event positions Isan as a vibrant cultural hub, blending heritage, innovation, and eco-conscious travel.
