Flora Festival 2025 turns Royal Park Rajapruek in Chiang Mai into a sea of color, with millions of winter flowers in bloom from now until 28 February 2026, open daily from 08.00–18.00 hrs. Set against the grand Lanna-style Royal Pavilion and expansive themed gardens, the festival offers a full-day experience for flower lovers, families, and photographers alike.

Gardens in full bloom

During the cool season, the park’s vast grounds are filled with seasonal flower displays, landscaped beds, and carefully designed floral sculptures that change character as you move from zone to zone. Visitors can stroll, bike, or take the shuttle through international gardens, Thai-themed sections, and wide open lawns framed by mountain views for endless photo spots.

Orchid week and special displays

A major highlight is the orchid-focused period, when dedicated houses and garden areas showcase countless varieties in vivid colors and intricate forms. Exhibitions and curated displays help visitors appreciate both rare and local orchids, making this a must-see time for plant enthusiasts and macro photographers.

Workshops and eco-events

Throughout the festival, the park hosts hands-on craft activities and nature-inspired workshops, where guests can learn simple floral crafts, gardening tips, or traditional decorative techniques. Eco-themed events and educational corners introduce visitors to sustainable gardening, biodiversity, and the park’s role as an agricultural and conservation center.

Night illuminations and ambience

On selected evenings, parts of the park transform with artistic lighting, turning flowerbeds, paths, and key landmarks into glowing installations ideal for twilight walks and night photography. The combination of cooler night air, illuminated gardens, and the silhouette of the Royal Pavilion creates a romantic, almost fairytale atmosphere very different from the daytime experience.

Planning your visit

Royal Park Rajapruek lies just outside Chiang Mai city, making it an easy half-day or full-day trip, with options to rent bicycles or use the internal shuttle to cover the large area comfortably. Arriving in the morning or late afternoon offers softer light and cooler temperatures, and visiting during Flora Festival 2025 ensures the gardens are at their most vibrant from now until 28 February 2026.
