The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated across the world annually on June 21 since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice which originated in ancient India. The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his UN address in 2014, had suggested the date of June 21, as it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and shares a special significance in many parts of the world.
International Day of Yoga celebrates the physical and spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world stage. While it is an important source of exercise and healthy activity millions join in and practice on a daily basis. For many, these routines are a way to connect the body, mind and soul in a way that has existed for centuries.
The Embassy of India in Bangkok invites everyone to attend 9th International Day of Yoga – Bangkok, Thailand on Sunday 18 June, 2023 – 6.30a.m. to 7.30a.m.

Free T-shirt and water will be provided. Yoga mats will be pre-placed. Distribution of T-shirt will begin at 5.00 hrs.
