Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Somkid Jatusripitak said on Friday that the SME Transform event hosted by the Ministry of Industry brings together small and medium sized enterprises, startup businesses, entrepreneurs, and related organizations, in response to the civil state or Pracharat initiative which seeks to get all sectors of society involved in national development.
The deputy premier is of the opinion that the country’s growth depends on the stability of the SME sector which makes up the largest proportion of all businesses in Thailand.
He noted that the government is looking for ways to help startups improve their operations, so that they can compete more effectively with their Singaporean counterparts.
Taking place at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani until Sunday, the SME Transform event showcases successful businesses, provides SME related advice, and offers SME loans.
