PRD set to mark National Children’s Day

The Public Relations Department (PRD) is to hold National Children’s Day festivities on the theme “Oh Good Child” with Government House putting out a card from the Prime Minister to mark the day. 


Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha has presented his National Children’s Day 2018 card to the press and disclosed that 1,000 copies will be printed and given to children visiting Government House this Saturday. Each one will be personally signed by the PM. 

The premier has himself been fielding cards from children, most of which have wished him happiness, health and a long career maintaining peace in the nation. 

Meanwhile, the Director of National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT) Kittisak Hankla announced that the PRD’s Children’s Day event entitled “Oh Good Child”, has the name of a classic Thai children’s song. Up to 300 prizes have been prepared for the activities, to take place at the PRD’s office in Soi Ari Samphan on Saturday between 7AM and 2PM. 

The NBT booth at the event will operate on the theme “Keeping His Teachings, Love for Culture” and promote discipline with an emphasis on traffic regulations. Other activities will include a trivia session on various religions to underline the importance of social harmony. Prizes up for grabs include helmets and limited edition piggy banks.
