The Ministry of Commerce has collaborated with various partner organizations to organize the ASEAN-India Expo and Forum, strengthening relations between ASEAN member nations and India.
Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha presided over the opening ceremony of “ASEAN-India Expo and Forum”, which was held under the theme “Strategic Economic Partnership & Connectivity”.The inter-regional event was attended by high-ranking executives from the public and private sectors in ASEAN nations and India.
Commerce Minister Apiradi Tantraporn said in her welcoming speech that ASEAN and India are both essential parts of the world economy, adding that cooperation between the two would drive global economic growth. The forum featured a series of networking activities, including one-on-one meetings and activities geared towards young entrepreneurs. The ASEAN-India Expo and Forum is considered an important platform for the regional bloc and the South Asian giant to further their cooperation in the pursuit of mutual growth and prosperity.
The event was organized in celebration of the 25th anniversary of ASEAN-India diplomatic relations and also marks the 70th anniversary of Thai-Indian relations.
