Thais visit temples for Asalha Bucha Day and Buddhist Lent

Thais from across the country have utilized the extended weekend to visit temples on the occasion of Asalha Bucha Day and the start of Buddhist Lent.

At Wat Chana Songkhram Rachawora Mahawiharn, people have come to worship the temple’s famous Buddha statue and donate necessities to the monks, to make merit for themselves and for their deceased relatives. Most merit makers traveled to the temple in groups, whether as families or as a tour group.

Many people have also traveled to Wat Bowonniwet Vihara to worship Buddhist statues and make merit.
