“3 gether : Run & Ride for Life” raises THB1.5 million in Chumphon

A charity project called “3 gether : Run & Ride for Life” has raised 1.5 million baht on its fourth day.

The activity, running from July 22nd to 28th, is the first-ever collaboration between the medical schools of Chiang Mai University, Khon Kaen University and Prince of Songkhla University. Participants are to run or bike on one of the three routes, namely Bangkok to Chiang Mai, Bangkok to Hat Yai of Songkhla and Bangkok to Khon Kaen, covering a combined distance of 2,700 kilometers.

Runners and bikers in the South on Tuesday arrived in Chumphon province where they were greeted by residents and members of Lang Suan Hospital. A retired medical science lecturer of Prince of Songkhla University who is one of the cyclists said the trip was taxing due to rainfall but he was determined to complete his mission.

The campaign aims to raise funds for the purchase of medical supplies and facilities for hospitals in impoverished areas.
