Commissioner Pol Lt Gen Sanit Mahathaworn revealed that safety zones have been established to monitor those traveling to the Grand Palace. Safety zones consist of CCTV cameras and officials conducting searches as appropriate. He also advised the public to study safety procedures before visiting the Grand Palace, utilize public transportation to mitigate traffic congestion, and follow any safety procedures as directed by officials.
Pol Lt Gen Sanit revealed that the Grand Palace expects it can accommodate up 50,000 visitors per day. The Ministry of the Interior has therefore sent messages across the country imploring the public to stagger their visits throughout the mourning period to avoid congestion in the capital.
