One of the National Legislative Assembly’s vice presidents has praised the enthusiasm related to the drafting of the new Constitution found among residents of the Northeast.
NLA’s Second Vice President Peerasak Porjit, who is the chairman of the project “NLA meets the People”, said that he has found the latest public forum in Nakhon Ratchasima impressive as locals have been enthusiastic in sharing their ideas to help with the charter-drafting process.
Mr. Peerasak believes that if Thailand’s law enforcement is righteous, no problems will be developed into a crisis.
He stated that there will also be conflicts of ideas but such situations are considered normal.
The NLA’s Second Vice President went on to say that the Constitution remains a solution for Thailand’s problems and the people need to be informed about their rights and freedom and the use of laws.
He added that, after the public referendum, the NLA will have to pass all organic laws within six months in order to pave the way for the next election in July 2016.
