Tourism and Culture ministries inked MOU on mutual cooperation

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports has signed an MOU on mutual cooperation with the Ministry of Culture in compliance with the government’s policy.

Culture Permanent Secretary Somchai Seanglai and Tourism and Sports Permanent Secretary Suwat Sidthilaw together signed an MOU on mutual cooperation, of which the objective is 1) to transform cultural heritage and historical sites bearing the unique identity of the community into Thailand’s major tourist attractions; 2) to promote these cultural heritages to become recognized at both local and international levels; 3) to create an added economic value to culture by developing cultural goods and services; and 4) to develop cooperation which promotes and supports the film and video industry.

Witnessed by high-ranking ministerial officials, the signing of the MOU took place on April 23 at the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
