The Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI) will join forces with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to hold a large-scale seminar in South Korea on Thailand’s investment direction in order to to build investor confidence.
BOI Secretary-General Atchaka Siboonruang has disclosed that the BOI will conduct a roadshow in Seoul, South Korea, during 26-27 March. Organized in collaboration with PM Yingluck and the Thai private sector, the activity is aimed at building confidence among foreign investors and encouraging investment.
Apart from a seminar to gain Korean investors’ confidence, the BOI will allow executives from leading businesses in South Korea, such as LG and Samsung, to meet with the Thai premier. During the meeting, Korean investors will be able to follow up on the progress of the Thai government’s flood prevention plans for any possible flood which might occur this year.
