Secretary-General to the Cabinet Ampon Kittiampon revealed that there would be no discussion over the House meeting in the final cabinet meeting tomorrow, saying that the EC has to verify the newly elected MPs first.
According to Mr. Ampon, the cabinet will not pass the bill calling for the House meeting as the election results have not been officially approved by the EC yet. The EC will have to verify at least 475 new MPs first for the House to be called into its first session.
Once this number has been achieved, the Secretariat of the Cabinet, the EC, the House of Representatives and the Bureau of the Royal Household will have to convene a meeting to determine the date for the House meeting. It is understood that in the cabinet meeting tomorrow, the discussion will focus only on the appointments of the Thai consulates in countries around the world.
